Specialized Dementia Care
Late-Stage Memory Care, Delivered with Empathy.
A dementia-specific environment within a residential footprint: secured thresholds, cued wayfinding, low-stimulation evenings, and caregivers trained in Alzheimer's Association best practice.
The Memory Hub Concept
Six residents, one dementia-specific environment
A memory care wing inside a large community still has hallways, intercoms, and shift changes. Our hub keeps the sensory load of a house while adding the safety architecture of specialized care.
- Behavior-tracking log reviewed by the administrator every 7 days
- Sundowning protocol with individualized evening routines
- Secured egress with delayed-release doors and motion monitoring

Clinical Standards
What specialized actually means here
Six operating standards you can verify on tour — each one produces a document you are welcome to read.
Behavior tracking, reviewed weekly
Caregivers log agitation, wandering, refusals, sleep, and intake. The administrator reviews the pattern every seven days and adjusts the plan before a crisis forms.
Sundowning protocol
Lighting steps down on a schedule, evening tasks are simplified to one instruction at a time, and each resident has a documented calming sequence that works for them.
Secured thresholds
Delayed-release exterior doors, motion monitoring at night, enclosed outdoor space, and cued wayfinding so residents can move freely without leaving unsafely.
Dementia-trained staff
Caregivers complete dementia-specific training beyond Georgia's minimum hours, covering redirection, hand-under-hand assistance, and refusal without confrontation.
Clinical partnerships
Standing relationships with geriatric psychiatry, home health, and hospice partners in DeKalb and Gwinnett so acuity increases do not force a transfer.
Life-history intake
A 30-minute family session captures career, faith, music, food, and the names that still land — the raw material for a routine that feels familiar.
Daily Life
Predictable days lower anxiety
Repetition is the therapy. The rhythm below stays consistent so residents can anticipate what comes next even when they cannot recall it.
Morning
Same caregiver, same greeting, same order of tasks. Breakfast served at the table, never in isolation.
Midday
Purposeful activity — folding, sorting, watering, baking — that preserves competence rather than entertaining passively.
Afternoon
Rest, music from the resident's era, and secured outdoor time before the light shifts.
Evening
Sundowning protocol: dimmed lighting, single-step instructions, and the individualized calming sequence.
